Are
You Testing?
The single biggest mistake that I see
new affiliate marketers make - even more advanced ones...is
the mistake of NOT testing your campaigns and keywords.
I can tell you from which source of
traffic a sale comes from and I can tell what keyword the
person searched for that led them to buying the product that I
made an affiliate sale.
"If
you are not testing, you are
simply shooting in the dark..."
Sure, you might get lucky every once
in a while but if you can't tell me how many sales your banner
campaign made on a particular network, you simply don't know
if you are throwing your money away with that source or if you
need to invest more in order to make more money.
Or you can't tell me which keywords
are making sales for you in your Adwords account.
If you can see test results that
keyword A converts to a sale in about 1 out of 212 clicks and
keyword B converts into a sale at an average of 1 out of 27
clicks, then you don't know that you can afford to bid 7.85
times more with keyword B.
Armed with this information, you can
reduce your bid amount on keyword A and stop throwing away
needless money on that keyword and increase the bid on keyword
B so that you can place higher on that keyword and get
more clicks and more sales!
Likewise, testing will show you that
another keyword is not even worth one cent and therefore you
eliminate it and save that much more on expenses and increase
your profits .
There are a couple of ways to do this.
One involves putting a piece of code on the vendors website
and it is usually the BEST way to do it
because it will show up in your Adwords account...but
not always.
In most cases, either the vendor can't
or won't put a bit of your code on their webpages. So what do
you do then?
Well, there is a way around this and I
can show you how to do it as you look over my shoulder and
follow along on the Advanced Techniques Video.
